How to care for your flower arrangement.
-
Immediately upon arrival, check water level. Add warm water (100 ° F/38 ° C) if needed. Keep vase full by adding clean water daily. If arranging foam is used, make sure it is always saturated.
-
Display in a cool location out of direct sunlight. Avoid extreme conditions like cold or heat (placement near air conditioning or heater will shorten life of arrangement).
-
To rearrange, re-cut stem ends under water with a sharp edge. And replace into a clean container with warm water.
-
A note on floral preservative: Preservative may extend the life of your flowers by a day or two, but most importantly, a clean cut of the stem will allow for adequate intake of water through its vessels.
How to care for your green plant.
-
Select location with moderately bright light. Protect from direct sun. place in some slightly brighter light when temperatures are low. Direct sunlight will burn leaves that are not acclimated.
-
Water only after the soil begins to be dry to the touch. Standing in constant heavy saturation will cause Rot. A saucer at the base will protect against damage to furniture and allow roots to take up water as needed.
-
Tropical plants prefer temperatures, as we are comfortable in: (70-72 ° F/21-22 ° c/ Daytime), and (65-70 ° F/18-21 ° C/Nighttime).
-
Fertilize periodically, following the directions of the fertilizer label.
-
A note on watering: simply lifting the plant will tell you if it needs watering. A heavy feel means there is plenty of water. A light pot suggests the need for watering.
